My characters for Infy's story. Or like. Her... Her show.. Or something. It's just some characters meant to keep my poor Infy company. :<
Hahwhoo finally got it done. My reference sheet for drawing Link in my style. And I have three here, in fact. THREE TIMES THE CHARM.
So anyway, I was going to submit this yesterday, but I ended up spending more time on it and changing a few things on each of them to try and fit their personality a bit.
For Mini Link, I wanted him to feel like the youngest of the group. So he's the most expressive as well as the less detailed one. He also has the wildest hair to try and make him like one of those "rough little kids". His green clothing also has the brightest of clothes to make it a bit more energetic.
For Young Link, I wanted this type of "young adventurer". So I gave him this rope-like strap and a wooden shield to pass off the thought that he was an amateur adventurer.
For Adult Link, I wanted this like, "I've been adventuring since before you born" type of deal with him. So he has a bit more details than any of the other Links, as well as some features to make him feel more adult (Haha, no, you pervert). A neck and shoulders, thicker legs + arms, round hands, longer ears, blue highlights in eyes. You probably have to zoom in to see those.
His gear is also better than Young Link's. A nice strap, buckles on boots, those glove things he always wears, an iron or metal or whatever shield, a nicer belt, etc.
Here's a better and simpler list to go by at the main differences of the three Links:
Mini-Link: - Green tunic is more saturated. - Wildest of hair. - Highlight in hair. - Only black ovals for eyes. - No shoulders. - Sleeves are a bright green. - No shield/sword + shield/sword strap. - Round, shine on belt rather than a buckle. - No boot flap. - Pointy boots.
Young Link: - Least amount of saturation in green tunic. - No hair part in face. - Small shine in eyes. - Small, triangular neckhole. - Semi-rope strap for shield. - Wooden shield (with texture). - Semi-shoulders. - Pale green sleeves. - Single boot flap. - Round boots.
Adult Link: - Darker color scheme. - Blue highlight + shine in eyes. - Square eyes. - Thick eyebrows. - Longer side-bangs. - Longest of ears. - Neck. - Neck collar going up. - Nicer strap. - Metal Shield - Shoulders. - White/gray sleeves. - Long, brown hand/arm gloves. - Round fingers. - Actual belt. - Thick legs with light yellow pants. - Stitching on pants. - Double flap on boots. - Slightly pointy boots. - Buckles on boots.
